Health & Safety
Health and safety are at the forefront of our priorities and we strive for continual improvement of processes ensuring adequate control of health and safety risks in the workplace. We have policies and procedures in place to ensure the correct management of our projects ensuring the health and safety of our employees, subcontractors, partners and the public.
We comply with all health and safety regulatory requirements, are ISO compliant and our OHSAS 18001 health and safety management system sets out the minimum standards to be followed by employees and subcontractors on site.
All members of the organisation are appropriately trained and understand the importance to safety in the workplace.
Environmental impacts specific to the construction of our projects are identified, implemented and managed through our ISO 14001 environmental management system. We are committed to minimising the environmental impact of our projects and strive to minimise our waste output by reusing and recycling all waste materials where possible. This is achieved by onsite segregation of various waste products, such as building rubble, timber, glass and plastic.
The company is committed to complying with environmental legislation, preventing pollution, continual improvement and all our employees and subcontractors are made aware of the importance to conserving and minimising waste materials thus reducing our impact on the local environment.
We have focused our environmental sustainability efforts on water, energy, packaging and solid waste, choosing environmentally sustainable construction materials where possible.
Hibco is committed to achieving the highest possible level of client satisfaction on every project which has helped us maintain long term working relationships with many of our clients. Our quality management system complies with the requirements of the latest international standard ISO 9001 and together with our experienced management team provides many of the tools necessary to deliver quality projects every time.
This quality management system comprises a set of operating procedures and processes as set out in our quality manual. All employees and sub-contractors are instructed to adhere to the requirements of the quality management system in order to constantly maintain and improve quality. Regular inspections are carried out onsite ensuring processes are being adhered to and in accordance with the clients requirements.
Annual external audits and verification of the company’s quality management system by the National Standards Authority of Ireland (NSAI) are carried out ensuring we are constantly reviewing, updating and improving our processes benefiting both out clients and the company.
